with Hilary Price, Creator of Rhymes With Orange

The Cartoon Art Museum will host Hilary Price, creator of the popular syndicated comic strip Rhymes With Orange, for a presentation at 7:00pm followed by a book signing on Thursday, October 23, 2008. The cost for this event is $5 for the general public, and free to members of the Cartoon Art Museum.
Hilary Price will be entertaining fans with her cartoons and their back stories, which she explores in her latest collection of Rhymes With Orange strips titled Pithy Seedy Pulpy Juicy.
The Simpsons creator Matt Groening writes of the book, “I dig the funny, charming craziness of Rhymes With Orange.”
Awarded “Best Cartoon Panel” in 2006 by the National Cartoonist Society, Hilary draws her comic strip in what was once a thriving toothbrush factory, since converted to studio space for artists. A graduate of Stanford University, she began Rhymes With Orange in San Francisco in 1995 with the help of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Rhymes With Orange appears in over 150 newspapers nationwide, including the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury News. Her work has also appeared in The Utne Reader and The Funny Times.
Hilary now lives in western Massachusetts with her overly large dog and two hoodlum cats.
